Off to Scotland for a few days so no blogging

Off to see Jack Vettriano at Kelvingrove art gallery. Then Edinburgh & wee 'Eck, a real Nationalist leader who resigned his seat in the parliament of the evil empire to live, work and die in his native land. Why don't you take some lessons from wee 'Eck Nigel. You need them.

A Vettriano original but does it say crap.

How UKIP gets the MEPs Farage wants

The low calibre of many UKIP MEPs lets the ordinary party members and the country down. Some are poltical dross so how did they get high up on UKIP slates in the first place? Look at what is left now in UKIP's Brussels battalion and how they got there.

Derek Clark, aged 79, East Midlands, the Calvin Coolidge of UKIP.  Coolidge known as silent Cal, was Harding's vice president and became US president in 1923 when Harding died suddenly of a heart attack. When told of Coolidge's death in 1933 Dorothy Parker, the celebrated  American wit simply said, "How did they know?" UKIP's Clark is best known for falling asleep in meetings and signing up to subsiduarity in Romania in direct contravention of UKIP policy. How did he end up an MEP? Simples, on the coat tails of Kilroy Silk who got a huge vote for UKIP in 2004 and promptly left UKIP. Under Clark the East Midlands went from 2 MEPs in 2004 to 1 in 2009, the height of the expenses scandal which hit every party except UKIP. Incredible!

Stuart Agnew, Eastern Region and allegedly rich. Second on the Eastern region slate to Bannerman. The best candidate was undoubtedly Robin Page but he was disqualified at a Farage dominated NEC meeting in late 2008. Hence Mr Agnew. Mrs James, one of the few good candidates UKIP has is now suffering from similar treatment as that meted out to Robin Page.

Paul Nuttall, not top of the pops in the North West region, that election was one by Greg Beaman the then North West RO who having won the right to the number one spot inexplicably decided to stand down. As number 2 choice Nuttall then moved up to number one and has bedded in as Farage's right hand man.

Legge I have written in my previous blog. He was undoubtedly helped greatly by his title and the support of his future employee the RO Malcolm Wood. He is also rich but how much money has he given UKIP?

Not exactly an inspiring bunch.

Gerard Batten and Trevor Colman were elected by the members fair and square despite the best efforts of the Cabal but Colman will not stand in 2014 and it is by no means certain that Batten will get the nunber one spot on the London slate.

That leaves Farage the leader who largely controlled the UKIP MEP slates in 2009 and totally controls the slates for 2014. His diastrous record speaks for itself. In a  democratic party he would have been replaced years ago. But in UKIP with a fresh group of sycophant MEPs the whole cycle will start alll over again. Farage's pension will have increased. His status in the EU will have been further enhanced. He will be leading a pan-European party. As for UKIP's avowed aim to leave the EU, who cares?

UKIP MEPs are green bottles waiting to fall

Just like the old children's song about 10 green bottles sitting on the wall. One after another they are off, Sinclare, Andreasen, Bannerman, Natrass, now Bloom plus Bufton, Clarke  & Colman hors de combat leaving Farage, Agnew, Batten, Nuttall and Legge holding on like grim death. Its deja vu all over again yet the leader takes no responsibility for this wipe out of UKIP MEPs. Well if its not Farage's fault whose fault is it? According to Nuttall all the NF infiltrators have been in Farage's words rooted out so who is there left to blame?

I saw Legge, the belted Earl, give a performance of stunning ineptitude on last Sunnday's Politics show West region. He has not improved since I sat with him on the SW2009 hustings and he got very upset when I gave a different speech at each of the 5 meetings emphasing different aspects of UKIP policy. Legge gave the same speech word for word at each meeting. It bored me and the other candidates to death but as a belted Earl he sailed in on the huge defential vote in UKIP assisted by the late Malcolm Wood arranging prior to the vote  speaking dates at the largest SW branches for the belted one. Other candidates such as myself and Alan Wood were not invited to speak at these select gatherings I guess because we might appear better speakers than Legge.  Legge's problem is that 5 years down the line he is still a poor and boring speaker compared to most politicians.

I know Legge does not like to be called a belted Earl but that's what all Earls are when raised to the peerage by the king giving them a sword and belt. .Rabbie Burns in his seminal poem, "A Man's a Man for a'That", on valuing the man not the rank said,

A prince can mak a belted knight,
A marquis, duke, an' a' that;
But an honest man's abon his might,
Gude faith, he maunna fa' that!
For a' that, an' a' that,
Their dignities an' a' that;
The pith o' sense, an' pride o' worth,
Are higher rank than a' that.

Also the previous verse from the same poem,

Ye see yon birkie, ca'd a lord,
Wha struts, an' stares, an' a' that;
Tho' hundreds worship at his word,
He's but a coof for a' that:
For a' that, an' a' that,
His ribband, star, an' a' that:
The man o' independent mind
He looks an' laughs at a' that.

The killing Burns line is:

“The rank is but the guinea’s stamp;
the man’s the gowd [gold] for a’ [all] that!”

He was saying that the common man is as good as any king or lord. Burns was a man far ahead of his time: on the eve of the French Revolution in 1792, he was writing "The Rights of Woman"

He also had something prescient to say about Europe.

While Europe’s eye is fix’d on mighty things,
The fate of empires and the fall of kings;
While quacks of state must each produce his plan,
And even children lisp the Rights of Man;
Amid this mighty fuss just let me mention,
The Rights of Woman merit some attention.
—Robert Burns

When asked to name the source of his greatest creative inspiration, Bob Dylan selected "A Red, Red Rose" by Robert Burns. Abraham Lincoln was also a Burns fan, reciting his poetry from memory and perhaps being influenced to emancipate African American slaves by the great Scottish poet's passionately stated belief in human equality.

Let us hope for UKIP's sake Legge is the next bottle to fall off the wall. Bloom had the decency of a common man to fall on his sword for the good of UKIP. Will Legge do likewise? There are many better men than him in UKIP.

Farage, a useful fool for the BBC

I switched on R4 on Saturday morning about 8:10 to hear Farage's irritating tones stopping me getting back to sleep. He was being interviewed by John Humphrys, generally reckoned to be the Beeb's toughest interviewer, on Bloomgate. Guess what? Humphrys was giving Farage a very easy ride. What on earth is going on I thought and then the penny dropped.

EUKIP has always been useful to the BBC as an alternative to the unacceptable BNP. This enabled the Beeb to achieve its so called 'right left balance' without having to talk to Old Nick. Hence Nuttall is able to trot out the line that circa 2008/09 UKIP had been infiltrated by BNP who were the people responsible for all UKIP's silly policies of that period. Do you think Nuttall dreamed that up all by himself? Of course not! Original thinking is not Mr Nuttall's strong suit. Total obedience to Farage and a willingness not to question the Fuhrer's orders are Nuttall's only talents.

But now the Beeb have found a further bigger use for UKIP, to undermine the Tories electorally. Hence the word has gone out to big up Farage and give him a soft ride but go for Cameron and the Tories. Partly this is because of the Beeb's LibLab bias but also the realisation that the Tories could do them real damage in their pockets by introducing salary caps for BBC executives etc. Now the Beeb cannot ever cosy up to the Tories even although both organisations have many gay cavaliers. It is unthinkable, so the strategy is to get the Tories out of office asap.

Dave's marginal MPs are terrified of UKIP. The latest poll shows them losing 32 marginals they now hold to Labour as the Tory vote leaks to UKIP. Even better for the Beeb! This will force the Tories into more extreme right wing policy positions to placate their troops. These policies can then be more easily attacked but they will be attacked as Tory policies leaving Farage to bask in his ill deserved popularity until the election. But after Red Ed is in No10 and Comrade Balls in No11 then a new more lethal Damien McPoison will be unleashed on Farage. Do they think Damien was the only Omen in the Brownite arsenal? As Warren Buffet says there is never just one cockroach in the kitchen.

Bloom rains on Farage's big day

I have no sympathy for Farage. He chose, supported and lived with Bloom in Brussels and deserves all the odure that will now descend on UKIP followings Bloom's assault on a journalist and insulting remarks about women. The latter he has done before and been able to shelter behind the great leaders jack boots but not this time. The media have tasted blood and now they will go after Farage big time.

UKIP's rank and file I have great sympathy for. They have been let down badly by their leadership and seen their cause seriously damaged. There are lots of Blooms at the top of UKIP. I wonder when that penny will drop with the UKIP foot soldiers. They have to take back control of the party from Farage, Crowther and Nuttall very quickly or their cause will end up in the trash can of history.

For me this most depressing sight was to see Annabelle Fuller shepherding  Bloom along the street away from the media. Fuller is an intimate friend of Farage who 5 years ago claims she left in a London taxi her lap top containing confidential test interviews with every UKIP MEP candidate for the 2009 European elections. Only two people had access to that material Fuller and Clive Page the then UKIP press officer. One interview with a candidate whose campaign the Cabal wished to sabotage was subsequently posted on the web with the demeaning headline, 'How not to do politics' . It was posted from Morocco.

Ms Fuller had spent holidays in Morocco. Ms Fuller's explanation was that the lap top was returned to her some days later by the London cabbie and that he or others must have posted the interview on the web.Presumably the lap top had made a trip to Morocco and back!

Why that one interview out of the 150 or so done? Unbelievable.

Whittaker, then UKIP chairman and Farage supporter said to the NEC that he accepted Fuller's explanation but added that Fuller would be kicked out of UKIP and no longer allowed access to UKIP material.  Farage backed this line. At the NEC Del Young and I laughed at this pathetic tale.We knew however Fulller's close friendship with Farage would ensure she would be back in the UKIP fold which today's TV evidence shows she now is.

There are still good people in UKIP. I thought Mr Wolfe spoke well before Bloom and Mrs James said all the right things after the Bloom story broke. Helmer, Tory turned  UKIP MEP was a disaster on the C4 7 pm news. His attempts at damage limitation was a complete failure.

Farage' mask slipped badly afterwards when he rudely ignored the C4 journalist Crick who tried to interview him about Bloom. His rudeness completely destroyed his carefully cultivated public image of a decent bloke in a pub. That was exposed as the sham it is by the Crick incident. The media will now destroy Farage. The sad thing is UKIP will be destroyed also. As Abe Licoln said You can't fool all of the people all of the time. Farage is just about to find that out.

Will he have the guts to appear on the BBC Sunday morning politics shows? Now that will be interesting.

More UKIP kangaroo courts

I was shocked to read that Chris Pain, an elected member of UKIP's NEC and an elected District Councillor has been kicked off the UKIP NEC. You can read about it by clicking on http://www.bostonstandard.co.uk/news/local/chris-pain-kicked-out-of-ukip-following-national-party-hearing-1-5503943

In the true UKIP sordid tradition there are few details of the charges against Chris Pain, process or judges. All I can glean is that  he is alleged by a unamed UKIP spokesman to have, " done  a specific thing that  that was in clear breach of our own rules and that was the reason.”  Five years ago I reported to the NEC a clear breach of candidate selection rules by Mr Gill in allowing Andreasen to stand as a UKIP MEP. She was subsequently elected and after that defected to the the Tories. Gill was in charge of UKIP candidate selection. He admitted he had waived the rules. What happened to Gill? With Farage's support nothing and he still appears as a platform speaker at high profile UKIP events. What happened to me for pointing out this breach of UKIP rules? Like Chris I was kicked off the NEC which I had been elected onto and later debarred from standing as a candidate in any election. Farage boasted that he would ensure I would not be allowed to stand as a UKIP candidate for a Parish Council.

The name Crowther, Farage's placeman UKIP chairman, figures in versions of this story. I first met Crowther at a UKIP SW meeting. I did not know who he was, why he was there or who had invited him. He attempted to ingratiate himself with me approaches I rejected. I instictively distrusted him.

Farage's vindictive behaviour still continues. When Audrey Spencer our local UKIP candidate for the Somerset County Council sadly died just before the election I was asked by the local branch to step in as candidate. Out of respect for Audrey I willingly agreed although it entailed rejoining UKIP to do so. This was vetoed by Crowther. I was not surprised but local ordinary members were shocked.

Another who it appears has been smeared by the UKIP cabal is Anne-Marie Crampton, UK Independence Party candidate in East Sussex  suspended by the party over reports she posted anti-Semitic comments online. She has consistently denied this stating her account was hacked. She writes scathingly about UKIP thus:

"Anna-Marie Crampton · Top Commenter
I was one of those that UKIP clearly "didn't like" and "didn't fit the mold" when i ran as a candidate in the CC elections in East Sussex last May... UKIP management's cronies hacked in to my Facebook account (allegedly), created a ghost or clone account using my name, photograph and my email to access my main account... wrote a whole load of anti semitic rubbish in my name which no thanks to their useless press department, resulted in a nationwide indeed, world wide negative press campaign against me which has carried on over many months. The last publication that i am aware of, with negative comments related to myself was just a month ago in The Sunday Times! They deliberately tried to wreck my reputation and standing in the community and possibly make me a target of extremists who assumed (wrongly) that i am anti semitic and a crazed conspiracy theorist... they then, suspended me. It was a vicious, nasty, reckless and dangerous attempt to discredit me. It was a difficult time but, i weathered it and held my head high. I still ran in the CC Elections and indeed my colleague and i did incredibly well. Why? Because the local community and indeed UKIP branch members didn't for one minute believe the negative publicity cooked up by these vicious but incredibly ambitious thugs within UKIP... Shameful. I have since resigned from UKIP and am convinced that UKIPs upper management were behind this witch hunt. There is no way that UKIP are committed to free speech or democracy. I believe they are just another right wing controlled opposition party who are supporting and abetting the establishment's agenda. Some of grassroots remain in denial but, when the truth comes out and it will, they are in for an unpleasant awakening when they realise they have all been well and truly used.. and conned. There is no loyalty within UKIP, no respect and no thanks for hard work or loyal support by its members, candidates and councillors... in fact, from what i have witnessed first hand, grassroots are lucky to receive so much as the crumbs from management's table."

There are undoubtedly vicious, unprincipled, incredibly ambitious but talentless people near the top of UKIP eager to secure their position on the EU gravy train that UKIP hangers on receive large amounts of money from. Ordinary honest decent UKIP supporters have cannot conceive  how unprincipled these people are. These decent UKIP members will as Ms Crampton says find out some day they have been conned. I hope that day comes soon.

Farage on Syria

I watched with interest Farage's speech and brief Q&A session on Syria in the European talking shop. Click on link to see it for yourself. I agree with every word Farage said but then over the years I have had very few disagreements with Farage on policy. He spoke well and dealt with the questions well. He praises the UK House of Commons for rejecting PM Cameron's wishes for armed intervention in Syria but runs a party in which to gainsay the leader is political death.

He reminds me very much of Hitler in the 1930s. He claims to be a democrat but any scrutiny of his actions shows him to be a dictator. The other UKIP characters can also be recognised  in Hitler's 30s entourage. All political opponents are ruthlessly expelled as are those with differing views to the Fuerher.

The reason the House of Commons could stop Cameron's warmongering was because a large groupn of Tory MPs are their own men and not the PM's placemen. In UKIP all future MEPs will be Nigel's placemen and women. UKIP has no diversity, the characteristic of all UK political parties as evinced by he LibDems this week, and as will be evinced by Labour next week with its Blairite Brownite factions and the following week by the Tories. UKIP is not a 'professional party' but a National Socialist party with a leader cult surpassing Germany in the 30s.

Look at the way second  choice Nuttal was foisted on UKIP North West by forcing/inducing Greg Beaman the members choice to stand down. Pure National Socialism!

UKIP goes from bad to worse

As it says in the Bible, as a dog returns to its vomit so a fool returns to his folly. Thus it is with Farage. Out of his 2009 intake of MEPs Bannerman, Andreasen, Colman, Sinclair and Natrass have all defected. That's a desertion rate that would ensure the defeat of any army in the field. In addition Clarke will go on age and not be missed and Bufton will go on health grounds and will be missed. That leaves Nuttall, Legge, Agnew, Batten, Bloom and Farage. Farage will not learn from this experience rather he will up the sycophant quotat and repeat his same disasters. Like the Bourbons Farage forgets nothing and learns nothing.

In any proper political party Farage would be replaced. He is like an incompetent first World War General, a liability to his troops.

But UKIP is not a political party it is a Nigel Farage cult. Del Young, David Abbott, Roger Knapman, me and many others have warned the wider membership of voting through Farage's many 'constitutional' reforms claimed to be needed to 'professionalize' the party would in reality concentrate power in Farage's hands and disenfranchise the ordinary UKIP members. I have great sympathy for the ordinary members. They can have no idea of what Farage is really like. Only those of us who have had to deal with Farage know that.

I have no sympathy for Natrass, Denny and others who have fallen from Farage's fickle favour and now have lost their position in UKIP. They stood by and said nothing whilst it happened to others.

I am grateful to Del Young for the two apposite quotes below:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me.
-Martin Niemöller

and second and more classical

 "A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men."

  - Cicero, Speech to the Roman Senate

Mr Natrass' widely circulated resignation email summarise what I and many others have said over many years whilst being smeared by the Cabal:

"TO : S.CROWTHER Esq, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE UK INDEPENDENCE PARTY  AND ALSO TO N.FARAGE Esq, THE LEADER OF THE UK INDEPENDENCE PARTY.                                                                              12 September 2014
Dear Sirs,   MY RESIGNATION FROM UKIP   I have been a member of UKIP since 1997 and am a previous Party Chairman and Deputy Leader and have represented the West Midlands of England as a UKIP MEP since 2004.   Sadly the current antics of the Leader bring to my mind such words and phrases as "Gerrymandering", "Totalitarian", "President of Zimbabwe" and "making Machiavelli look like an amateur" and the credibility of a party proclaiming democracy, freedom of speech and fair play has been destroyed.
The UKIP selection process has been twisted and redesigned to elect Cronies of Nigel Farage and Cronies of Cronies, UKIP rules (the normal understanding by the NEC of the rules) were simply broken to suit this purpose.
Those who will not give Nigel Farage any resistance in what he does,  the "Chosen Cronies," are selected high on the lists and those high profile persons, in all regions, who may question him, were taken off. This process will enhance the objective, which is not to distract members' votes away from "the Chosen Cronies"

Then the final straw. This week Nigel Farage advised the UKIP MEPs (including myself) that, no matter how the members vote, the NEC can change the order!!  So even if they do not vote for his Cronies the NEC will confirm them as candidates. He also confirmed that this process had already been applied to the list at the London Assembly Elections.
I shall serve my constituents as an Independent MEP and will consider standing at the 2014 election and shall always stand against Totalitarianism and the EU.
This deterioration of our party is a great sadness to me, as I have received great support from "the real UKIP members" who have worked so hard and have become my friends. I can only thank all those people, some of whom are no longer living, for those good years."

Ah well its different when it happens to you personally.

I don;t give a fig what h,appens to Nattrass, Denny, Andreasen etc at Farage's hands. What I predict is that Farage's fresh batch of MEP candidates once elected and on the gravy train will quickly desert as well. I hope no one goes out and campaign for these Johnny come latelys.

If you want to see what UKIP should have been watch today's interview of Alan Sked by Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics. It makes me weep.

So what is Farage up to?

The excellent Autonomous mind blog, click on link, has highlighted  how at the recent large UKIP rally on 7th Sept, attended by 900 people Farage made no mention of leaving the EU. It was covered by the local rag the Shropshire Star. The rally was paid for by Jill Seymour and her husband. Ms Seymour. I sat on the NEC with Ms Seymour. On any contentitious issue opposed by Farage she would stare fixedly at the table in front of her. Phrases involving chocolate teapot spring to mind.

She is on the UKIP MEP slate for the West Midlands. I wonder why?

I had a chat with Del Young today. Del was on the NEC with me and Ms Seymour and is brilliant at seeing through Farage. I learned a lot from Del to the extent that I feel I know what Farage will do in any circumstances.

We concluded that Farage sees his future in the EU leading a pan-European party. Post 2014 with an increased number of UKIP MEPs he will be in a very strong bargaining position with his mid European neo-fascist allies to be leader of a right wing pan-European party. But it gets better for Farage. He will turn the UKIP leadership in the UK over to some controllable place man for the 2015 UK general election like he did last time with Pearson.  Remember Pearson, the leader who did not know what was in the UKIP 2010 election manifesto. Well come 2015 it will be deja vu all over again.

The icing on the Farage cake will be that Dave will put him into the House of Lords! That stops him spoiling the Tory party in 2015, not that he would want to. Rubbing shoulders with the aristos is Farage's idea of heaven.

And what of UKIP and getting us out of the EU? Well it is all forgotten. UKIP will have served its purpose for Farage.  He will be one of the great and the good -at last! He can move up through the well paid ranks of the EU leading his pan-European party for as long as he wants to.

And what of the poor UKIP members supporters who have loyally supported Farage? In one of Del's favourite phrases they will have been fooled, used and abused. Where would the generals have been without their cannon fodder?

Wednesday 11 September 2013

So how exactly do we leave the EU?

Farage has no idea how we can leave the EU. He avoids this difficult point prefering soft easy irrelevant targets like Rumpy. Its a very tricky, probably insoluble problem..Even so it surely deserves some little attention. I have never read or heard anything from Farage on the subject. He does not do serious thinking. A serious drawback in a great leader.

Hitler did lay out his great plans in Mein Kampf described by Wikipedia thus:

 Mein Kampf (pronounced [maɪ̯n kampf], "My Struggle") is an autobiographicalmanifesto by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, in which he outlines his political ideology and future plans for Germany. Volume 1 of Mein Kampf was published in 1925 and Volume 2 in 1926.

It was all laid out there what Hitler would do. The pity was few in the twenties took it seriously. UKIP could do with its Mein Kampf as it currently has no plan of action whatsover. Some plan must be better than no plan don't you agree?

Who in UKIP can produce such a plan or book? Well sadly no one I have ever met. The cabal is not known for serious intellect. Shelf stacking in Tescos is the limit of their abilities.

The hour is coming but where is the man?  Answers  please in my comments.

Immigration pigeons have nowhere to roost

The refusal to link issues that patently strongly interact has always made me mad. The trite little phrase is that these are seperate issues. Everything interacts with everything else it is only a question of how strong the interaction is. This comes from the domination of lawyers in our parliament who love to put things into little self contained boxes.

The LibCon Industrial complex frequent assertion that imigration is an unqualified good thing comes into that category is now exposed by the staggeringly obvious sequel that admitting lots of young people into a country like the UK with a generous welfare state leads to an increase in the birth rate. The UK pays people to have children. Five years after bith they need schools to go to. This seems to have escaped the BBC who shock horror have just announced we dont have enough primary school places to meet this perfectly predictable demand. They had 5 years warning but the BBC arts types of course are incapable of adding 2 and 2 toogether or handling quantitative information.

UKIP has of course its own residnt expert on female fertility one Godders Bloom. He also claims to be a financial advisor but neither he nor his master Farage has picked up on this obhvious source of UKIP political capital..

Politiciams never look further ahead than the next election when problems crated are bequeathed to the next government.

More children also requires more housing, more heath care more secondary schools, more of everything but these are separate issues handled by separate ministries and ministers.

Sorry to write twice in one day but the French are about to cut off my dongle. Still, that did not seem to do Farage any harm.

What became of Andreasen & Bannerman

I am very grateful to Mike Bridgeman for supplying this link to the Tory MEP slates published by Guido. Bannerman figures in the Eastern Region where he was at number 3:

FORD MEP Vicky
VAN ORDEN MBE MEP Geoffrey
CAMPBELL BANNERMAN MEP David
FLACK John
HUNT Tom
SIMONS Margaret
COLLETT Jonathan

Not bad for a double ratter, first a Tory, then a Kipper, then a Tory but what message does it send to loyal Tories. I think I should have a word with my former BoE colleague Matthew Hancock Tory MP for West Suffolk about this. It cannot be good for party morale. I know Tory membership is in steep decline but I did not realise quite how low it must have gone.

 Andreasen figures at number 4 on the South East Tory list:

HANNAN MEP Daniel
DEVA DL MEP Nirj Joseph
ASHWORTH MEP Richard
ANDREASEN MEP Marta
ROBINSON Richard
KNIGHT Graham
MARSON Cllr Julie
JEFFREY George
LOVE Rory
PEPPER Adrian

Again a moral sapping selection for the diminishing army of Tory footsoldiers and indicative of a party in decline.

Both are standing in the same region they were elected as Farage proteges in 2009. Will it not be vastly amusing if in 2014 both fail to be elected. A dire warning for those who cross the Furher whose favour is notoriously fickle.

A rising tide lifts all boats but an ebb shows who has been swimming without a swim suit if I can mix my metaphors.

Its a salutory warning to those currently enjoying the leader's favour of what can happen if they don't obey Farage.

For those like Williaam Legge, UKIP MEP in the SW  this was drummed into him at Eton. Sucking up is the best policy is a lesson well taught at all public schools as Flashman Cameron can confirm.

I confidently expect UKIP to get around 30 MEPs in 2014 with Labour also doing well with say 25. That only leaves 23 for ConLib. This scenario does not look good for A & B. Still that's the way the croissant crumbles from which you will understand I am still in France

Old Tories never die they become UKIP MEPs

The UKIP MEP slates are stuffed full of Farage's Johnny come lately old Tory chums seeking a cushy £1 million over the 5 years 2014 to 2019. Nice work if you can get  and you can get if you suck up to Farage. What have the ordinary UKIP members done to deserve this third rate collection of avaricious non-entities? Well they voted for Farage and supported his constitutional reforms which removed all checks on the leader's dictatatorial power and you could say they got what they deserved. That's a bit unfair. They will never have met anyone like Farage or anyone who behaves like Farage in their whole lives.

The East Midlands region is typical, Roger Helmer & Mragot Parker stood against UKIp and does anyone know who Barry Mahoney, Nigel Wickens and Johnathan Bullock are or more to the point what have they done in UKIP?

This region was run down under the less than dynamic Derek Clarke MEP so UKIP foot soldiers are very thin on the ground. They think the UKIP protest vote will be enough to get them on the Bruusels. I think they are right.

Does anyone know if Marta Andreasen or Bannerman are on any Tory MEP slates? Answers please in the comments section.
