Is Farage exploiting the UKIP homeless?

I am grateful to Del Young for pointing this out to me. Del sees through Farage better than anyone I know.

Farage is using the UKIP finance problem as an angle to beat Carswell with and get members to
force him out the party.  He wants to force Carswell to take all the taxpayers money he is allowed; So Carswell will get the blame. for UKIP homelessness. Carswell of course does not want to take the money and have his office infiltrated by self seeking Faragistas.

Neat huh? One more dirty trick from UKIP's store of dirty tricks.

UKIP homeless

Thus reads the headline in Guido today

http://order-order.com/2015/06/29/ukip-homeless/#_@/yGjYhOQal5xTeA

Cash-strapped UKIP are homeless and senior staff are being forced to work from home after the party was booted out of its plush Mayfair HQ. They will need to find somewhere else where staff will be able to “regularly take their clothes off and compile lists of people they would like to have sex with”.
Speculation centres on the suggestion that the owner of the offices, UKIP donor Andrew Reid, ordered them to move out last week after a bust up over the dire state of the party’s finances.
Despite raking in millions in cushy donations before the election, Guidounderstands the coffers are bare and multiple sources report that some employees and contractors have not been paid for months.
“Boxes have been packed up and we’re working from home” says a UKIP source, confirming “we’re in the process” of finding a new base. Not easy when you’re broke…
Welcome to Nigel's new professional party, a financial shambles but hey who cares? Nigel and his sycos are paid by that nice Mr Juncker who never runs out of money.
Pity the poor UKIP pensioners who have been contributing their tenners to Farage's UKIP cult. Its just like these US preacher cults. I can save UKIP members a lot of money. When Farage comes round with his begging bowl ask for proof of  how much Nigel is contributing.
UKIP is morally as well as financially broke.

BBC bias

The BBC is a rabidly pro EU organisation so much so it is often called the Brussels Broadcasting corporation. Today, Sunday 28th June I watched Richard Branson given the softest of soft interviews by the Europhile Marr. Branson harked back to his early days with Virgin records circa 1972 when he claimed there was a 33% inport and export tariff on his crumby records to the ECC. Did we want to go back to those bad old days he asked. Talk about erecting a straw man! By the wayBranson 95% plus of music is now bought on line over the net. Nobody has bought vinyl for over 30 years Expect lots more of this.

On exit from the EU we would of course enter into trade deals with individual countries suited to our economy not the Franco German economy! The stay in spokesmen will continue to get easy interviews whils thos wanting to leave will be subject to the shrill frequent interuptions from the Europhile Cockburn woman that Andrew Neil keeps on his show for some reason I cannot comprehend.

Farage was on the Sunday AN show after Theresa May on the horrific slaughter of innocent British tourists in Tunisia by an Islamic fanatic. I remember two years ago being on a cruise ship due to visit Sousse. A former British Ambassador to Tunisia was also on the ship and despite his assurances the country was  safe I said I would not go ashore. I knew from living in Sudan how out of touch the FCO was with the Muslim Brothers another Islamic fundamentalist organisation. In any event it was too rough for the ship to dock so the Ambassador and I remained on good terms.

Farage did OK on the AN show on Tunisia and other Islamic and immigration problems but got trapped by AN into indicating he would not be averse to leading the leave campaign. Sweet music in Cameron's ears. Farage's involvement would ensure an 'In' vote.

Ten years ago I told the late Malcolm Wood the Euro would inevitably fall apart. Given the current Greek situation my prediction is looking more secure. The Greeks have had a worse depression than the USA in the early 30s. The colleagues consider this a price worth paying to save their 'grande projet'. Callous and sickening.

Glad to see Farage picking up Del's suggestion that the Italian government could easily solve most of its immigrant problems by giving them Italian passports valid over the whole EU including of course the UK. It will happen as the Italians become more desperate.

We need an Oz type immigration policy. As their PM said if you are looking for an Islamic paradise you are not going to find it in Australia. Would that Cameron would say the same. It would help relieve the pressure on our hard pressed security.

I cannot be the only one to have noticed these so called refugees at Calais are all fit well clothed and shod young men. I saw no women or children.  I have seen refugees from the 25 year Sudan North South war and they looked emaciated, clothed in rags accompanied by lots of skin and bone women and children. These guys at Calais are not refugees. So where do they gat the money from to pay the people smugglers? One Islamic organisation that has plenty of dosh is ISIS. After Tunisia we should be very worried these refugees are not ISIS moles.

Cameron's sham EU Referendum

A UK government memo leaked to the Guardian has published Cameron's duplicitous position on the EU.

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/jun/26/david-cameron-eu-campaign-risky-impact-uk-exit

It is as Carswell said months ago  a sham negotiation. It explains why as Andrew Neil has frequently noted the exceedingly modesr nature of Cameron's demands. His aim is to scare the UK into voting to stay in the EU using the same fear tactics that worked in the Scottish referendum including our monarch, Betty von Battenburg, showing her partiality for the establishment status quo as she did in Scotland. Above politics she is not and she is no doubt purring to all her and her husbands German relations right now.

The note, which is a leaked account of a private meeting between the prime minister and a fellow EU leader, states: “He believes that people will ultimately vote for the status quo if the alternatives can be made to appear risky.”

It will be a fear, uncertainty and doubt campaign supported by our now very political Queen.

'In a passage likely to be seized on by Eurosceptics, the note says Cameron told his counterpart that his “firm aim was to was to keep the UK in the EU”, highlighting the country’s importance in areas including foreign policy and defence.'
That means sending UK troops to die in the Ukraine when the EU manages to provoke Putin enough.

“The PM said that he had deliberately not produced a lengthy shopping list and had been careful in formulating his wish list, but he needed to get satisfaction on these reform demands. He said that he needed to win the middle ground and, if he is to achieve this, then moderate people needed to feel that the things that bother them about the EU have been dealt with.”

Cameron also made clear there would be consequences of leaving the EU, which he described as a “one-way ticket, not a return”. He said an exit would have an impact on Britain’s access to the single market and on its standing in the world.
“We would need to weigh up very carefully the consequences of no longer being inside the EU and its single market, as a full member,” he said then. “Continued access to the single market is vital for British businesses and British jobs.”
Our PM is as much in Dr Frau Merkel's handbag as Milliband was in Alex Salmond's top pocket in the famous General Election 'scare' cartoon.
Cameron is not negotiating for us he is selling us out to the EU and trying to repeat Wislon's 1975 con. Thank goodness he is not as clever as Wilson.
We will now see what Farage is made of but don't be too disappointed when he turns out to be an EU mole.
Only Carswell and the other Tory eurosceptics can now save our country from becoming a vassal state of the Fourth Reich.

The EU is a political construct

The Common Market was set up by leaders scarred by two European wars in little more than 30 years to prevent such conflicts ever happening again. The De Gaulle Adenauer deal signed in early 1963 was the key step to the formation of the EU from the common market set up by the Rome treaty in 1957. It established the ruling Franco Prussian  axis which still runs the EU. It was a political deal designed to keep power in the hands of a self perpetuating political elite and away from the Communist/Nazi supporting plebs better described as common sense ordinary people.

The European Coal & Steel Community treaty was signed earlier in 1951 by the original 6 members of the subsequent Common Market. It had limited  economic success and required the further political powers of the Common Market to progress. This has been a recurrent theme in the EU ever since. Limited economic success was claimed to require more political integration to succeed. A complete lie It was a naked political power grab then as it is today where the same tactic is still being used. Just like the Labour party pre and post Blair that failed to get elected because it was not left wing enough so the EU, economic schemes fail not because they are economically flawed but because of the lack of proper EU political integration.

I have heard that well known leftie Diane Abbott say several times how shocked she was to find when on a UK parliamentary group considering the Euro that the currency was a political dream and had little economic underpinning before she got back into the BBC funded black cab to take her safely home through the mean streets of Hackney.

The economic arguments wheeled out by politicians and fat cat businees men on the EU gravy train are bogus red herrings designed to scare and distract the opposition. The admirable Richard North spends much effort on rebutting these diversionary attacks. Our real attack however must be on our loss of sovereignty given away by our so called political leaders these last 45 years and we must win that political fight. The EU is over reaching itself in the Ukraine. The Yanks know this hence they are sending their military to bolster the Ukrainian government. This shows how much a paper tiger the EU with all its high representatives is. The Russians saw off the two finest, biggest most battle hardened armies, Napoleon's Grand Armee and Hitler's Panzers, that the world has ever seen and ended up taking Napoleon's Paris and Hitlers Berlin. Putin is well capable of doing the same again to Paris & Berlin. Provided we keep out of it this could be a blessing for the UK but never understimate the capacity of Blair's heirs to get our sons killed in wars that we don't have to fight.

Back to more UKIP chaos

I came back last night from one of my internet free trips to France. What I found is best summed up in Guido's cartoon below

hokey-ukip

Sacked then unsacked, resigned then unresigned, what will Farage do to the English language next? At least in France they have an academy set up by Napoleon to stop this defamation of their language.

It is of course a complete shambles and to think this man wants to play a leading part in the Out campaign. Its game set and match to Cameron already. The media are clearly now seeing Farage as a laughing stock. Politicians can survive many things but mockery is always fatal.

Hancock gets the Brillo treatment

I was vastly amused to see my former colleague at the Bank of England, Matthew Hancock, caught out not knowing the facts to support his assertions by the Paisley boot boy. Hancock is of course in Dave's cabinet. Ho Hum. Posh boys lose to Glasgow hard men and even Nicola.

Immigrants and the French Foreign Legion

Del Young suggested to me a solution to the huge number of immigrants flooding across the Med to Greece and Italy. Do they want to stay in Greece or Italy? Of course not they want to come to the UK where the streets are paved with gold and where they speak English which most of these  migrants understand as opposed to Greek or Italian which they don't understand.

The solution for the Greek and Italian government is simple. Give them a passport which gives them free movement within the EU and give them a train ticket to London and just watch them disappear.

I prefer the solution the  French hit upon this in 1831, the Foreign Legion. I quote from Wikipedia

The French Foreign Legion was created by a royal ordinance issued by King Louis Philippe, at the suggestion of Minister of War Nicolas Jean-de-Dieu Soult, on March 9, 1831. Nine days later on March 18, 1831, an additional directive was issued restricting membership in the newly formed Legion to foreigners. The latter directive reflected the initial purpose of the Foreign Legion as a mechanism to lessen the potential disruption to the provisional French government and the newly enthroned House of Orléans posed by the large influx of foreigners following the collapse of the Bourbon Restoration in the previous year's July Revolution.[1] Some of these foreigners in France were the remnants of regiments formed during the campaigns of Napoleon of Germans, Swedes, Poles, Hungarians, and others. These foreign veterans had been left with little means and professional military training which proved to be of concern the French government. Many had flocked to France following the July Revolution or came to France following failures of the revolutionary or independence movements throughout Europe; in addition to an influx of idealistic revolutionaries and nationalist, France also became home to large numbers of immigrants who had removed from their countries of origin for economic or personal reasons. This influx of foreigners had become a significant burden for the newly established French government's administrative capabilities; for example during March 1831 a depot established in Langres, France to accommodate these recent immigrants had been inundated to point of overstretch.[2] Furthermore French military operations in Algeria, which had commenced under Charles X, had proven unpopular with portions of the French populace as the campaign, despite its initial success, had become bogged down in the occupation of that country. The formation of the Foreign Legion would help address the domestic threat of dissidents fomenting political instability while contributing to government's colonial endeavors in Algeria.

Same problem we face today but of course there was no Human Rghts Act in 1831 but still it was an imaginative solution, n'est pas mon Colonel?

It has fought in all French wars since up to and including Afghanistan.

No questions asked about your past  except are you a murderer or drug pusher You have to sign up for a minimum of 5 years. You get board and lodging and reasonable pay. If you survive you get a French passport a clean recordt and an fresh start in life.

Given lots of these immigrants hate each other I am sure they would jump at the chance of kicking sh** out of the other lot.

Worth looking at Major or should I say Beau Geste?

Farage is yesterday's man

I well remember old Sausages Gill ex Tory MP telling me at my first NEC meeting that Farage was UKIP's best asset. I did not agree with Sausages then and time has only served to confirm  my views. The best asset for our leave the EU campaign is the arrogant political elite that rules the EU. This has generated strong anti-EU nationalist parties in France, Greece, Spain, Finland, Italy, Hungary etc. Farage to the best of my knowledge has played no part in the anti-EU  movement in any of these countries. The common factor is the EU elites arrogance. That is why UKIP is where it is in the UK, nothing to do with Farage. Its down to the EU pure and simple.

Farage is an increasing liability for UKIP. As several journos have remarked the more the electorate see of Farage the less they like him. The electorate still likes what UKIP stands for but this will erode the longer Farage remains leader. Hence UKIP win Thanet council but Farage failed to win the Thanet Westminster seat. It was the same in the Europeans with people voting for UKIP.

The game is now Dave's blatantly rigged referendum and that will need a whole new approach from clever talented people with Farage and his associates ditched and airbrushed out of the campaign.

The first battle will be to display how the referendum vote is being rigged by Cameron. Brits don't like cheating especially from the Bullingdon boys. So its appeals to the Electoral Commission, court cases accusations of  politicisation of the Civil Service etc but it sure is not going to be easy.

Cameron's omni shambles EU Referendum negotiations

Gideon Osborne produced an omnishambles budget in 2012. Omnishambles was a word dreamt up by Malcolm Tucker aka Alasdair Campbell in the political satire, "The Thick of It". Truth is of course stranger than fiction. Tucker's target was a junior Secretary of State but in real life we have had an omnishambles from our Chancellor of the Exchequer and now one from our Prime Minister.

Cameron's problem is he has no intention of  ever allowing the UK to leave the EU and he has told his Euro chums Juncker Merkel this and that he will 'fix' it. He took his tough stance to impress the Dr Frau but when the troops back home started to kick up being a political coward he had to backtrack and eat humble pie in front of the confused journos before they even had a chance to recover from their nights drnking. This all happened in Bavaria at Schloss Elmau. As an exercise in flexing his muscles to impress the Dr Frau it was worse than an abject failure, it made the UK look a laughing stock. Adolf used to organise things better in his nearby Wolf's lair but then he never went to Eton.

Cameron's re-negotiation always was a complete sham but now its a public omni sham. His chances of getting anything substantial from the EU was always small but after this they are non-existent. Even Ed would have done better whilst eating a bacon sanwich. Old Etonians do cock ups rather well. They have had hundreds of years of practice at it on their renowned playing fields. Cameron has made the UK a joke in the beer kellers of Munich, Brussels and Strasbourg. For you Dave ze war is over, ha ha!

Like the LibDems Cameron has been hoist on his own petard. He expected to be in coalition again with the LibDems whom he could then have blamed for vetoing the renegotiations he wanted, sob, sob. He never thought he would have had to renegotiate anything. Oh dear he has to take the rap now or as is the Etonian way find another whipping boy.

It is now clear the UK establishment, Roland Rat et al, will be working overtime to scare the electorate to vote IN or like Cameron's cabinet face losing their jobs. The referendum will be rigged and fixed like Wislon's 1975 one. The only difference was Wilson was a very clever man who knew how to fix things whilst Cameron thinks he is clever but of course Boris is the only brain in the Tories and they are not going to ask him what to do unless things are looking really bad. Then like the three Scottish Referendum amigos they will wheel out Boris to muddy the waters and make impossible promises that they can then like Clegg disown.

Heffer suggests James Dyson to lead Out campaign

Dyson whose revolutionary vacuum cleaners have shown the best of British Engineering to the world would be an excellent choice to lead the Out campaign as suggested by Simon Heffer in today's Sunday Telegraph.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/11655109/Let-Sir-James-Dyson-clean-up-the-No-vote.html

Its a great idea from a very good journalist. Dyson has complained repeatedly about how EU rules and regulations are rigged to favour the German engineering industry. I have been trying to publicise this as well but Dyson was there first! Its why German industry employs an army of lobbyists in Brussels to ensure regulations favour them and also disadvantage UK engineering. Needless to say Dyson has had zero support from HMG' Europhile civil servants.

Also in today's Telegraph Business Tate & Lyle the sugar refiners have said unless Cameron secures major concessions it would do better outside the EU. Their CEO Gerald Mason has  said its production has fallen from 1.6 m tons in 2009 to 600000 tons last year as a result of changes to EU rules favouring  beet sugar grown in the EU over cane sugar grown in developing countries which Tate & Lyle refine and which faces an import tariff of £246 per tonne as a result of the CAP set up of course to protect French farming . It all goes back to Napoleon's efforts to circumvent the UK naval blockade! So the EU helps rich French farmers and penalise poor farmers in the developing world.

As a result there  is now just one sugar refining plant left in the UK. There were six when we joined the then Common Market in 1973. We may have won at Waterloo with German help but we have been big losers ever since.

For the London political elite there is a free public art gallery on the North bank of the Thames called the Tate. It was 100% paid for by Tate & Lyle along with two later galleries of modern art in Liverpool and the South bank of the Thames. So who does the London intelligensia support? Not Tate & Lyle! Sickening.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/11654668/Tate-and-Lyle-Sugars-Wed-be-better-off-outside-the-EU-unless-Cameron-secures-major-reforms.html

Finally I was interested that Heffer writes, "Nothing disappointed me more in the Queen's Speech than absence of a promise to repeal this profoundly anti-democratic law"  He was referring to the Fixed Term Parliament Act which he rightly describes as pernicious. Its a ticking constitutional time bomb.

On the 9th of May I wrote to Cameron with three suggestions for the Queen's speech one of which was to repeal this Fixed Term Parliament Act. I received a smug weasel words kick in to the long grass response from a Mr West in  the Cabinet Office that even Sir Humphrey would be proud of. I quote below

" The Fixed Term Parliament Act was designed,in part to promote stable government in a hung parliament and this is what it achieved. Fixed term parliaments provide a number of practical advantages to both Government and Parliament as they give greater predictability and continuity enabling long term legislative and financial planning. There is no longer constant speculation about the date of the election in the final months of the Parliament. Equally, the Act provides a mechanism for the House to use should the political parties want to have an early election"

Well turkeys that are due to be eaten won't vote for Xmas but those that will be doing the eating certainly will. How will you square that one Mr West?

For completeness the other two suggestions I made was abolish on demand postal voting as it was wide open to corruption.  Mr West says this was introduced with all party support in 2001, not excactly my recollection but he seems to imply this makes this legislation  untouchable. I replied that if experience in use shows legisation to be flawed it should be repealed.

My other suggestion which also did not find favour with Dave's man was an offer to sort out the constituency boundary review  right now using objective maths with no political input. Ah said Mr West the Electoral Commission must report by 1/10/2018 on this issue so another boot into the long grass for that one.

PS

My wife has just pointed out that a colleague of Mr Heffer's at the Telegraph, man of the land Robin Page and all round good egg has offered to lead the Out campaign in Saturday's edition.

EU outers must distance themselves from Farage's UKIP cult asap

The Out referendum campaign must distance itself from Farage's UKIP cults asap. The public will not vote Out if they perceive Farage is involved. He is a serial electoral loser in UK fptp elections. UKIP only works as a harmless protest vote in the European elections where they are owned body and soul by the EU. Farage and his talentless sordid sycophants fight to take the EU's Euros for themselves not for a cause. The Referendum campaign cannot be associated with these people if it is to have any chance of success.

The best thing Farage can do for the campaign is to stay away prop up his many favoured Brussels bars with his cronies like Nuttall and let the serious boys get on with it. Any association with Farage will be the kiss of death for the Out campaign and ensure a UKIP level 12% vote.

The Cameron Tory supporting Daily Telegraph

000a Telegraph-006 lead.jpg

Farage is the second most distrusted man in British politics after the great starter of wars, Tony Blair. He is the most divisive man I have ever met. We need a leader who can unite the anti EU vote from the left, the right and centre and from all colours and creeds. Farage is a man with more negative baggage and dodgy associates than Sepp Blatter.

The Tories have a long tradition of men in grey suits who when the leader's time has come tap him on the shoulder and say its time to go old boy. Who can fulfil this role for the Out campaign? Moneybags Stuart Wheeler is my nominee. He is a decent man with no enemies and I hope he will tell Farage its time to leave.

Why does multinational big business want us to stay in the EU?

This morning the head of Shell, Ben van Buerden speaking to journos attending the OPEC conference in Vienna said, "I don't think it will be a good idea for Britain to exit Europe". Note the use of Europe which is not what the referendum  will be about. We are being asked to vote on leaving the EU. Europe is a continent extending 1000 miles East of Moscow to the Urals. The EU is a rickety administrative structure dominated by a load of dodgy corrupt mid European politicos. This conflation of Europe with the EU is a deliberate propaganda lie. Dutch man van Buerden and the others like BP's Dudley, an American citizen will repeat this PR lie ad nauseam.

Shell is not a British company, it is 60% Dutch owned!

The head of BP, Bob Dudley an American was peddling the same lie yesterday. Asked about the possibility of a BREXIT he replied "Sitting back, looking at the role of Europe and Britain I 'd find it highly unlikely." Note again the use of Europe not EU. Note also the clear news management of the issue on the stay in side which is coordinating the multinationals in this area.

BP, Shell , Vodafone and all the other stay in lot are not British companies. They are world wide trading companies who transact the great majority of their business outside the UK. Their interests are not therefore the same as the interests of us the UK citizens who live and die in the UK and whose assets are all in the UK. The reason they want us in the EU has nothing to do with our welfare. They want access for their lobbyists to the corrupt EU to promote their companies non UK interests. Its a clear misrepresentation of their real and venal interests. It looks like a put up job from the pro EU pressure group Business for Britain which would be more truthfully entitled business for the EU! There is another EU lobbyist frequently on the Beeb called Roland Rudd obviously an error for Roland Rat the TV personality.

The difference between real British business and multinationals is articulated by Lord Bamford head of JCB who make earthmoving equipment in the UK who has said it the UK would be better off if we were not in the EU and his business woukd not be affected one iota. Lord Bamford, a UK citizen's business interests are more clearly aligned with you and I than the Dutchmand, the Yank and the Italian running the multinationals I cited.

This truth can also be seen on the stockmarket. The FTSE 100 is dominated by multinationals. The performance of the UK economy is seen in the next 250 biggest companies by market capitalisation. If you want to see how the UK economy is performing these are the companies you monitor. They have outperformed the multinationals for many years so if you are looking for an investment look at the FTSE 250, ie UK companies!

US nails Blatter

There are many things I dislike about the US civil legal system with its propensity to sue for any thing and that employs more lawyers as a result than the rest of the world put together. The treatment of BP as a political football by their sordid President and the expense of their heath care as a result of litigation costs spring to mind.

Their criminal justice system is a different matter. They pursue and charge criminals. They imprison the guilty for long periods and levy fines that are a real deterrent unlike our courts where fines can often be paid out of petty cash.

Most important, they have managed to  maintain some political independence for their courts allbeit local judges are elected and Supremes are presidential nominees. In the latter case they are subject to confirmation by the Senate and the House and if confirmed their term of office is indefinite so  extends well past the administration that nominated them in the first place.

Their system is to some extent based on English Common Law something we are losing in the UK as Strasbourg takes over our courts. That is why the EU justice sytem is a farce mired in political corruption and hidden national self interests. In the EU justice is not blind. Their judges are highly political and riven with national self interest.

That is why Blatter was safe in Europe including Switzerland and his deficiencies could only be exposed in the US. Its a sad indictment of the EU justice system that nothing could be done about Blatter. Worse, this corrupt system is now being imposed on us. All courts including our own are corrupt to some extent but some are more corrupt than others. The latter are found in Strasbourg and European capital cities.

Why do all politicians including Cameron want us to stay in the EU?

The EU is a politicians dream. Power without elections. Money with no accounting. I am getting tired of every foreign politico telling us what a disaster it would be for us if we leave. What they really mean is what a disaster it would be for them!

As always we can rely on the BBC to promote Johnny Foreigners interests. Click below for the latest

More worrying is the traitor Cameron's words of comfort to Juncker last weekend

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3106092/Cameron-use-referendum-permanently-dock-Britain-Brussels-claims-EU-chief-Jean-Claude-Juncker.html

As Reckless now an ex MP said our Prime Minister is not serious in his re-negotiations. Every one knows he will promote the stay in vote irrespective of how little he will get back from the EU. Why? He has his eyes on his next job in Brussels.  He is a member of the political elite and he is intent on preserving the power and priveleges of his Brussels Bullingdon Cllub.

We shoud ask Diana's brother, Charles Spencer to head the Out referendum campaign

UKIP won Thanet council but the voters did not vote for Farage as their MP This is the seventh time Farage has stood for Westminister and lost. The more the voters see of Farage the more they dislike him. UKIP has a popular message but Farage himself is plain unelectable. The current spat with Carswell shows Farage at his bullying worst and shows how irelevant Farage is

The coming referendum is now the only game in town. Who will lead the Out campasign? I don't know. I hope it is a case of cometh the hour cometh the man.

It should not be a politician. It has to be someone who can attract support from all parts of the population. Frank Field said on Sunday it should be someone who could not have voted in Wilson's fixed 1975 fake referendum. I agree. We need a national apolitical patriot figure. A British Joan of Arc would do nicely. Someone who wants to save our country from the bent, self seeking profesional Europhiles. But who?

I am not a royalist but if one of the royals stood up to head the campaign it would be ideal. They would be seen as interfering in politics rather saving their country and they are all well cowed by the establishment. Diana's  brother, Charles Spencer however has shown he has real guts, brains and independence of thought. I well remember the great speech he gave in the Abbey at Diana's memorial service. It showed he will not be cowed by the establishment or even the Queen who was reportedly  furious at his speech. He is the 9th Earl and comes from a family that has a longer association with the UK than Betty von Battenburg.s German lot. The Spencers have a good amount of Stuart blood in them, preferable in my opinion to the German blood that Diana Spencer hated in the current crop of royals.

Time for someone to sound him out. Diana's memory is still a potent force in the UK. Lets use it for someting better than selling magazines.
